Currently, the cycle of batteries is linear, they are bought, used and discarded, and only 5% are recycled. Alterity solves this problem with a battery design optimized to be refurbished, maximizing the life of its components.

Story
The team’s joint trajectory dates back to early 2014, when the team, with the goal of competing for the title in the first international university electric motorcycling competition, MotoStudent 2016, came together for the first time. All five members were part of the Motospirit team at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where they all completed their university studies. It was while participating in the competition that the team built a personal relationship and discovered that they complement each other perfectly for undertaking business initiatives. The excellent results obtained in the project (pole position, fastest lap in the race, first position in the race and in the dynamic tests) motivated the team to enter the electric and sustainable mobility sector. After completing the MotoStudent competition at the end of 2016, the team has continued to work together on unique projects related to electric and sustainable mobility.
Origins
Alterity was founded in mid-2018, when the team identified, due to the exponential increase in sales of light electric vehicles in recent years, the need for agents that could solve problems arising from the use of lithium-ion batteries in these vehicles. It was at that precise moment that the team started working on the Alterity initiative, a project that aimed to set up a manufacturing, maintenance services and technical assistance centre for lithium-ion batteries for light electric vehicles. The five promoter members decided to form a company (Six to Go Solutions SL) to undertake and realize the idea of creating a lithium-ion battery technical engineering centre. The services will be marketed under the trade name Alterity.
